With the attention of national and international brands to the environment and the enhancement of
Chinese people's awareness of environmental protection, people are paying more and more attention
to environmental protection. Green products have become one of the important choices for consumers.
GRS is designed for the needs of the textile industry to verify recycled products or certain products. It is
more important for retailers and consumers to understand which parts of a particular product are
recycled materials and how they are handled in the supply chain.
The Global Recycle Standard for Textile and Garment (GRS), originally formulated by the Netherlands
Control Union, was implemented in November 2008. It is a third-party certification Standard for the
use of recycled fibers after the recycling of waste textiles. In January 2011, the Dutch Regulatory
Alliance transferred the copyright of the Global Recycling Standard for Textile and Garments to the
US Textile Exchange, the most influential in the world.
